Description:
This workshop is for administrators and support staff to aid in the process of becoming more comfortable and competent working with youth in care who are LGBTQ+ Identified.
Participants in this training can expect to:
- Gain an understanding of AB99
- Learn culturally sensitive language and behaviors to better understand and support LGBTQ+ identified youth
- Identify their own understandings and assumptions about gender and explore how those understandings may affect their work
- Learn resources to support yourself and the LGBTQ+ youth in your care
